Ron Stout of http://cidermill.com fame, has promised to send copy of an improved original of the photo above, he also, for a price, shared his wisdom of sitting right down and recording all of the names on the back of the photo of this 6th grade class.
We were interested in the name of the cutie labeled #3 in the above photo, Ron Stout Wrote: "On the 6th grade class photo, you asked about # 3. The girl labeled #3 is Alicia Roberts. Alicia sat in front of me in Miss Boly's room 6 and one day I was in the process of dipping one of her braids in my ink-well, when she suddenly felt something and turned around very quickly. The braid splattered ink all over the clothes of a couple of kids sitting in the next aisle. Needless to say, I was in a heap of trouble. Don't know whatever happened to Alicia."
Chester Piolatto Writes: My memories of elementary school are mainly in the 6th grade. The teacher was Miss Boly. She was about 5 feet tall, had coal black hair pulled back in a tight bun. She wore a black dress and a red knit sweater every day of the school year. She would walk up and down the aisles with a ruler in hand ready to smack any one who got out of line. She was an educator and you learned or else. Too bad the school systems don't have more like her today.
